guess i'm just not ready
I do not know who decided to give this title away free. It is not worth it. I looked at the way it was designed at immediately deleted it from my pc.
After having a lot of success in my journey to learn Spanish, I thought I would give it a try and try to learn another Romance language. This is a perfect case of "you get what you pay for." I paid nothing for this book since I got it as an ebook from the Gutenberg Project as a free download and this book is apparently in the public domain. This may have been an effective method to teach French in the 1920s when this book was first published. But after using tools such as Fluenz and Pimsleur to learn Spanish, I am sure that any one of the learning French courses by Fluenz Version F2 French 1+2+3+4+5 with supplemental Audio CDs and Podcasts or the French I, Comprehensive Learn to Speak and Understand French with Pimsleur Language Programs would have been a lot more help to me than this book (although a lot more expensive than a free ebook).
No shipping required arrived on kindle in a timely fashion and easily read and retrieved will enjoy it for years.
Very good book for those who already speak some French for practising.
You can find this on Gutenberg, so that may be how it ended up here in format. The book contains many (dated) anecdotes and interesting historical stories - followed by grammar exercises designed for class discussion (no answers included).
Best read in portrait mode, though it's obvious that even this view is not formatted for the and it is hard to read. At the same time, it's hard to beat the price...
